Bitcoin Aves Concludes First Cohort of My First Bitcoin Diploma Program in Ghana

EDUCATION COMMUNITY

Bitcoin Aves has concluded the first cohort of its My First Bitcoin Diploma Program in Akatsi, Ghana, following several weeks of community-led Bitcoin education sessions.

The initiative used the open-source My First Bitcoin curriculum, which focuses on teaching the fundamentals of money, Bitcoin, financial sovereignty, and self-custody through structured classes and guided discussions.

Community-Focused Bitcoin Education

Throughout the program, participants studied topics including:

  • The history of money
  • Fiat currency systems
  • Bitcoin fundamentals
  • The Lightning Network
  • Financial sovereignty

Bitcoin Aves regularly shared updates from the sessions on X, showing students participating in classroom discussions and chapter reviews as the cohort progressed through the curriculum.

Growing Adoption of the My First Bitcoin Curriculum

The My First Bitcoin Diploma has increasingly become one of the most widely adopted open-source Bitcoin education programs globally.

Originally launched in El Salvador, the curriculum is now being used by educators and community initiatives across different regions, including parts of Africa.

The Ghana-based Bitcoin Aves initiative reflects a broader trend of local communities adapting Bitcoin education models to fit regional realities and grassroots adoption efforts.

Grassroots Education Continues Expanding Across Africa

The completion of the first cohort also highlights the growing role of community-led education within Africa’s Bitcoin ecosystem.

Across the continent, more initiatives are focusing on practical learning, financial literacy, and open-source education rather than speculation-driven narratives.

Programs like the Bitcoin Diploma continue to help onboard new users while also strengthening local Bitcoin communities through consistent educational engagement.
