Africa Bitcoin Corporation Launches Bitcoin Yield Generator Product

BUSINESS FINANCE INNOVATION

Africa Bitcoin Corporation (ABC), Africa’s first publicly listed Bitcoin treasury company based in South Africa, has launched its Bitcoin Yield Generator product, allowing Bitcoin holders to earn contractual income without selling. The announcement was made on January 20, 2026, ahead of the company’s presentation at the Digital Asset Treasury Virtual Investor Conference on January 27, 2026.

Warren Wheatley, CEO, and Stafford Masie, Chief Executive Chairman, presented the product as part of ABC’s strategy to integrate Bitcoin into real-economy lending for African SMEs.

The Bitcoin Yield Generator offers a target yield of up to 5% per annum, paid monthly, with Bitcoin pledged under a structured facility and returned at maturity. This launch is designed for long-term Bitcoin holders seeking income streams while maintaining exposure to Bitcoin’s upside potential.

“Our Bitcoin-backed model is a world first, connecting international investors with Africa’s high-potential SMEs,” said Wheatley during the investor conference. “This approach turns Bitcoin from a passive reserve into real-world growth: local businesses expand, jobs are created, and African economies strengthen.”

By using Bitcoin as part of its treasury, ABC can tap into international funding at significantly lower rates than local African markets, allowing the company to offer more affordable loans to African entrepreneurs.

The company’s loan book has deployed R360 million (approximately $19 million USD) in secured lending with zero significant bad debts, creating or supporting over 1,600 jobs across Africa.

Since adopting the Bitcoin Standard, ABC has accumulated 3.195 Bitcoin, delivering a Bitcoin yield of 203% and currently holds 28 satoshis per share. The company is listed on the U.S. OTCQB market (ticker: AFBCF), Johannesburg Stock Exchange (ticker: BAC), Frankfurt Börse (ticker: 4BC), and Namibia’s NSX (ticker: BAN).

As the first Bitcoin treasury strategy company in Africa, ABC is demonstrating how Bitcoin can drive sustainable financial innovation on the continent, moving beyond speculation to practical treasury applications that support economic growth.
