Bitcoin Internship in Africa Launches at WHWH

EDUCATION

A new Bitcoin internship in Africa has started at What’s Haute with Halima (WHWH), a Bitcoin focused media and education platform founded by Halima Abba Wali. The programme gives young Africans a path from learning about Bitcoin to working in the industry. The internship builds on the Bitcoin education students received from Bitcoin Unical, a student led Bitcoin community in Nigeria.

They work across project coordination, content creation, writing and graphic design, and the programme runs for six months. Interns join the daily operations of an international Bitcoin media platform, work on real projects and build skills in digital media, communications and project management.

The goal is a pipeline of African talent with the skills and confidence to pursue roles in the global Bitcoin industry.

Why this Bitcoin internship in Africa matters

Bitcoin adoption keeps growing across the continent, and the need for people who can write, design, coordinate and communicate about it grows with it. Founder Halima Abba Wali says education should be the start of the journey: “We need to create pathways for these students to become professionals who can contribute meaningfully to the ecosystem.”

The Bitcoin internship in Africa also reflects the growing commitment of WHWH to technology education, mentorship and talent development, extending its impact beyond media.

WHWH shared the announcement on X and LinkedIn. Readers can learn more about the programme on the WHWH website.
