OSGuild Concludes First Genesis Workshop in Mauritius
Over the weekend of 25–26 July 2026, OSGuild successfully hosted its inaugural Genesis Workshop. Bringing together university students for hands-on learning in Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), Bitcoin, the Lightning Network, and freedom technology.
The event, organised by OSGuild – The Genesis Workshop, marked the official start of a structured pipeline. Designed to develop sovereign contributors to Bitcoin open-source projects.
Held in Telfair, Moka, the workshop attracted participants from the University of Mauritius, Middlesex University Mauritius, and ALCHE.

On Saturday, 25 July 2026, organisers kicked off the Genesis Workshop with practical sessions on Free and Open Source Software. Several students completed their first-ever pull requests on GitHub. Taking an important step toward active participation in open-source communities.
