Bitcoin Boma Hosts Successful FEDI + Bitcoin Workshop in Malawi

Bitcoin Boma, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building awareness of Bitcoin’s economic, social, and environmental benefits across Malawi, successfully hosted a hands-on FEDI + Bitcoin workshop on May 9, 2026, at Hapuwani in Mulanje.
The full-day training session focused on community onboarding and empowerment using Bitcoin, equipping local participants with real-world skills to adopt and benefit from Bitcoin technology in their daily lives.
Workshop Highlights: From Bitcoin Basics to Real-World Applications
The interactive workshop delivered clear, practical education tailored to Malawian communities. Key topics covered included:
- Bitcoin fundamentals – Understanding the core principles of the world’s leading cryptocurrency.
- FEDI Super App – Hands-on training with the powerful mobile application for Bitcoin users.
- Federation models – How federated systems enhance security, privacy, and accessibility.
- Security best practices – Essential tips to protect digital assets and personal information.
- Mini apps and tools – Exploring built-in features that simplify Bitcoin usage.
- Local use cases – Practical applications including remittances, savings groups (chit funds), and everyday commerce.
Sessions featured live demonstrations, Q&A segments, and lively group discussions, making complex concepts easy to understand even for beginners.
