The Satoshi Sister Circle's Pioneering Workshop in Lusaka

Lusaka, Zambia – February 4, 2026.

In a groundbreaking initiative to empower women within the Bitcoin space, the Satoshi Sister Circle (SSC) hosted its inaugural Bitcoin Personal Branding Workshop in Lusaka on January 31, 2026.

In partnership with Bitcoin Zambia, this event attracted a diverse group of women eager to learn about Bitcoin and explore its transformative potential, marking a significant step toward promoting gender inclusivity in the male-dominated Bitcoin and Tech landscape.

Held at the modern AfricaWorks co-working space in Agora Village, the workshop transformed a typical Saturday morning into an inspiring hub for learning and networking. Over the course of a few hours, participants immersed themselves in the world of Bitcoin, gaining not only technical knowledge but also essential skills for personal branding and professional development.

About the Satoshi Sister circle

Founded by Charlene Fadirepo, a notable advocate for gender inclusivity in the Bitcoin space, SSC aims to provide women with the necessary tools and mentorship to carve out their roles in the Bitcoin field.

“We are not just teaching Bitcoin; we are building a sisterhood that will shape the future of finance in Africa,” Fadirepo passionately declared in her virtual opening address, emphasizing the importance of leadership and visibility within the industry.

The Bitcoin Personal Branding Workshop

Charlene Fadirepo  encouraged participants to “stop waiting for permission” and take charge of their careers in the Bitcoin realm.

Following Fadirepo’s inspiring welcome, the workshop shifted into practical sessions led by dedicated representatives from Bitcoin Zambia. These sessions provided foundational knowledge on Bitcoin, including wallet setups, blockchain transactions, and self-custody practices. For many first-time participants, this segment was particularly eye-opening.

“It’s not just about money; it’s about sovereignty and financial freedom,” one facilitator remarked, reinforcing the notion that Bitcoin represents a broader movement for empowerment.

The workshop’s core focus on personal branding blended seamlessly with Bitcoin education. Attendees participated in exercises designed to refine their LinkedIn profiles, develop compelling content around their Bitcoin journeys, and network effectively within the ecosystem.

Interactive segments included mock pitches for various Bitcoin-related career opportunities, allowing participants to build confidence and hone their advocacy skills. A poignant moment occurred during group discussions about overcoming gender bias in tech, where personal stories highlighted both the challenges and triumphs women face in the industry.

Beyond imparting technical skills, the workshop also established important social connections. As documented in SSC’s post-event updates, the initiative laid the groundwork for mentorship pairings and career accelerator programs specifically tailored for African women in Bitcoin.

Participants departed not just with technical know-how but with newfound connections; many formed WhatsApp groups for sustained support and expressed interest in attending future events, such as the Adopting Bitcoin East Africa conference in Nairobi.

Summary

This Lusaka workshop is part of a larger movement within Africa’s Bitcoin landscape, where interest in digital assets continues to surge amid economic uncertainty and currency volatility.

The collaboration between Satoshi Sister Circle and Bitcoin Zambia underscores the collective effort driving change and empowerment across the continent.

Looking forward, SSC plans to expand its workshops across Africa, building on the success achieved in Lusaka.

Fadirepo’s vision is unwavering: “Together, we are shaping the future of Bitcoin in Africa.” With initiatives like this, women are not merely participants in the Bitcoin revolution, they are emerging as its leaders, embodying the spirit of innovation and empowerment that defines the movement.
