DadaDevs Launches UI/UX Pathway for African Women Developers

DEVELOPMENT ECOSYSTEM INNOVATION

DadaDevs, the African women-led initiative building Bitcoin solutions for the continent, has officially opened applications for its groundbreaking UI/UX Pathway.

Announced on 22 April 2026.  The 4-week virtual program is not a traditional design course. Instead, it delivers a practical product-thinking upgrade for developers, Bitcoin builders, and AI-native creators who want their tools and applications to be understood, adopted, and trusted.

Why This Program Matters for African Tech Builders?

In Africa’s fast-growing Bitcoin and emerging tech ecosystem, many powerful solutions fail to gain traction simply because they overlook real user behavior and local realities. The DadaDevs UI/UX Pathway directly addresses this gap.

The program is built for female developers across Africa and the Global South who are ready to move beyond writing code to shaping products that solve real problems – especially in low-connectivity and resource-constrained environments.

You already know how to build. Now learn how to build things people actually use!DadaDevs
DadaDevs UI/UX Pathway Cohort 1 – 4-week virtual program for female African developers in Bitcoin and AI, starting May 2026

What Participants Will Learn in 4 Weeks

The curriculum focuses on turning user insights into production-ready decisions using AI as a strategic partner. Here’s the exact breakdown:
  • Week 1: Research & Discovery – Identify real user problems before writing a single spec.
  • Week 2: User Flows & Information Architecture – Design intuitive systems that guide user behaviour and decision-making.
  • Week 3: Visual Design & Prototyping – Move from wireframes to high-fidelity, testable prototypes using AI tools.
  • Week 4: Evaluation & Iteration – Validate designs, gather feedback, and refine for real-world usability.
Delivered remotely over selected days, the live cohort runs from 6 May to 27 May 2026.

Partnership with Mogashni Naidoo (MouxDesign)

The pathway is delivered in partnership with Mogashni Naidoo of MouxDesign. This collaboration brings expert guidance tailored to African contexts, ensuring developers learn to create interfaces that work where connectivity is limited and user needs are unique.

Who Should Apply?

  • Female developers and Bitcoin builders in Africa and the Global South.
  • AI-native creators tired of shipping tools that don’t stick.
  • Anyone who has built powerful solutions only to see them under-used.
If you have ever shipped something brilliant that people didn’t engage with the way you expected, this program was made for you.
