During the session, organisers walked students through hot wallets including BlueWallet, the Blockstream app, Blink. And Wallet of Satoshi. They also demonstrated Bitika and Tando, two local platforms used in Kenya to buy and spend Bitcoin.
Ahead of the event, The Core said the programme would cover the history of money, Bitcoin basics, sending. And receiving payments, setting up a Trezor hardware wallet, and the case for using Bitcoin.
Registration had been capped at 100 places. The post-event update reported that more than 100 MUT students attended.
The Core has run the meetup series under the banner “Bringing Bitcoin Closer to You,” with earlier 2026 sessions held in places such as Thika.
