Bitcoin Educators Academy Comes to Lagos With Just 10 Places
The Bitcoin Educators Academy is coming to Nigeria for the first time. AmityAge announced the Lagos edition this week in partnership with DigiOats.
The program runs for three days in October 2026. It will take place on Victoria Island, Lagos. Organisers say they will share the full venue details with selected applicants only.
Only 10 people will get in.
Not a Conference
The academy trains people to explain Bitcoin well.
“This isn’t a conference where you sit and listen,” the announcement said.
Instead, participants practise. The three days cover public speaking and persuasive presenting. They also cover simplifying complex Bitcoin ideas and handling objections. Finally, participants learn to pitch clearly and build presentations that stick.
The small group size is deliberate. With only 10 seats, everyone gets to speak, practise, and receive personal feedback.

Selected participants pay nothing. A grant from the Human Rights Foundation covers the cost.
The organisers put the regular value at $390 in sats.
Dušan Matuška will lead the sessions. He designed the Bitcoin Educators Academy and co-founded AmityAge.
A Program With Mileage
This is not a first attempt. By January 2026, the academy had run 19 editions across more than 13 countries. It has produced over 150 graduates so far.
Matuška brings a teaching background to the work. He tutored maths, physics, and English in Slovakia before moving into Bitcoin. He also ran public speaking workshops and train-the-trainer academies across Europe.
Today he co-founds AmityAge and the Bitcoin Center in Roatán, Honduras. His stated mission is to reach 100 million people with Bitcoin education by 2030.
AmityAge argues that educators protect communities. Without them, people fall prey to misinformation, scams, and CBDC marketing.
Who Should Apply
The academy is not for beginners. Applicants need at least a basic understanding of Bitcoin.
They should also already teach, speak, build, create, organise, or lead in some way.
“Whether we call ourselves educators, developers or not, we are all microeducators,” the announcement said.
