EVENTS COMMUNITY

Bitcoin Ekasi and Gorilla Sats have announced an ambitious 13-day expedition across the continent. Specifically, the Pan African Bitcoin Tour will run from 26 August to 7 September 2026. This journey connects 11 distinct Bitcoin projects across Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, and South Africa. Consequently, participants will experience the full narrative of African Bitcoin adoption firsthand.

Exploring the Full Story of Bitcoin in Africa

This tour is far more than a typical safari. Instead, it functions as a deep dive into the real-world utility of the Bitcoin network. Organizers describe the trip as “Africa’s most unique Bitcoin expedition.”

The journey combines breathtaking wildlife experiences with visits to circular economies. Specifically, travelers will meet local builders who are using Bitcoin to solve everyday financial challenges. Furthermore, the itinerary includes mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda and a visit to the iconic Victoria Falls in Zambia.

Regional Highlights and Project Visits

The tour moves through four nations, stopping at various community hubs:

  • Uganda (Days 1–4): The trip begins with gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Afterward, participants visit the Orphans of Uganda project and a Bitcoin-funded school.
