Bitcoin Around Africa Podcast Launches to Tell the Real Stories of Bitcoin Adoption Across Africa

EVENTS

Bitcoin Around Africa, a new pan African Bitcoin podcast, has officially launched to spotlight the real people, builders, and communities driving Bitcoin adoption across the continent.

The podcast grew out of a consistently hosted Bitcoin AMA Space that ran weekly for over 16 months. What began as an open forum to answer questions about Bitcoin and cut through misinformation gradually evolved into a trusted meeting point for both newcomers and seasoned Bitcoiners across Africa.

Through organic growth and word of mouth alone, the AMA attracted thousands of listeners and featured voices from multiple African countries, creating a unique archive of on the ground Bitcoin experiences.

Now rebranded and launched as Bitcoin Around Africa, the podcast continues this mission in a long form format, diving deeper into the stories behind Bitcoin adoption on the continent.

A Platform Built for the African Bitcoin Ecosystem

Bitcoin Around Africa focuses on practical, real world Bitcoin use across Africa. The conversations center on builders, operators, educators, developers, founders, and everyday users who are using Bitcoin as a tool for savings, payments, remittances, education, and economic resilience.

Rather than price speculation, the podcast highlights how Bitcoin is being used to solve real problems in African markets.

What the Podcast Has Already Achieved

Since its early days as a Bitcoin AMA Space, the platform has recorded:

• 30 uninterrupted weekly Bitcoin AMA sessions
• Nearly 5,000 organic listeners
• Speakers and contributors from over 10 African countries
• A growing pan African community of Bitcoin learners and builders

The podcast is independently hosted by CitrusRate, a Bitcoin focused platform building tools for pricing, education, and adoption across African markets. The show forms part of CitrusRate’s broader mission to support Bitcoin education and elevate builders doing meaningful work on the ground.

“Bitcoin Around Africa was never about building a show. It was about creating a space where Africans could tell their own Bitcoin stories, in their own voices, and from their own realities. This podcast is our way of preserving those stories and helping more people see what is possible when communities take ownership of their financial future.”
